Log any trade, save your own charts: manual entry + screenshots
Until now the journal filled itself from your exchange. That's great if you trade on a connected CEX — but it left out everyone on MT4, MT5, a prop firm, or a broker we don't sync yet. Two upgrades close that gap: manual trade entry and trade screenshots. Now the journal is yours whether or not an exchange feeds it.
At a glance
- Add any trade by hand — open or already closed — with a free-form symbol.
- No exchange connection required: journal a prop-firm, forex or futures trade the same as a synced one.
- Attach your own charts to every trade: paste a TradingView link or upload a screenshot.
- Everything private to you; your stats, calendar and R:R update automatically.
✍️ Manual trade entry
Hit + Add trade on the dashboard and fill in the trade yourself. Type any symbol — you'll get live suggestions from Bybit and Yahoo Finance, but nothing is blocked: enter an FX pair, an index, a stock, even a ticker we've never seen. Log it as an open position or drop in an exit price to record a closed trade in the same form.
Why it matters: the journal is no longer exchange-only. Mentors and prop traders who never connected a CEX can build a full, honest track record by hand — and it lives right next to any synced trades, in the same stats, calendar and Trader's Plan.
🔄 Open, journal, close
Open trades show up in Active Positions, exactly like a synced one. Open the trade to journal it — add your note and tag the setup (chart pattern, candlestick, entry type). When it's done, close it with an exit price and your PnL and R:R recompute instantly. Made a mistake? Delete the trade (with a confirmation) and it drops cleanly out of your stats and calendar.
Why it matters: manual trades aren't second-class. They flow through the same lifecycle — active → journaled → closed — and feed every number the app calculates.
🖼 Trade screenshots

Open any trade and switch to the Screenshots tab. Two ways to attach your chart, and the app remembers which you prefer:
- TradingView link (default). Mark up your chart on TradingView, grab the snapshot quick-link (
tradingview.com/x/…) and paste it. We fetch the image server-side and store it — so your annotated setup is saved forever, even if the snapshot link later expires. - Upload. On MT4, MT5 or anything else? Upload the image directly (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB).
Fill a Before and After slot to tell the story of the trade, plus up to 4 extra shots for context. Tap any image for a full-screen lightbox, swap a slot by attaching a new one, or remove it with the trash icon. Pick Make default to have a trade open straight to its screenshots instead of the candlestick chart.
Why it matters: your journal should hold your read of the market, not just raw prices. The exact levels you drew, the pattern you saw, the invalidation you set — captured and kept, private to you, ready to review when the same setup shows up again.
Summary
The journal now works for every trader, on every platform:
- ✍️ Manual entry — log any trade by hand, open or closed, from any broker.
- 🖼 Screenshots — attach your own TradingView charts or platform screenshots, before and after.
- 📊 Same engine — manual trades and their screenshots feed the same stats, calendar, R:R and Trader's Plan as synced trades.
No exchange? No problem. Start journaling in your dashboard.
