Journal smarter: tag setups, get a Trader's Plan

As part of building the Trader's Plan, we wanted to capture more from every trade. So we shipped the biggest journal upgrade yet: each trade now carries its full setup across three taggable fields, and the app turns that history into a plan you can actually trade.

📐 Chart patterns

Pick from a 20-pattern catalog (bull flag, ascending triangle, double bottom, head & shoulders and more), grouped by type, each with its own glyph so you spot it instantly.

Why it matters: the pattern is the single biggest tell of whether a setup repeats. Tag it on every trade and "I think I'm good at flags" becomes a measured fact: you see which patterns actually pay and which just feel good.

🕯 Candlesticks

Tag the exact candle that triggered your entry, from 17 hand-drawn candlesticks (hammer, bullish engulfing, doji, morning star and more), grouped bullish / bearish / neutral.

Why it matters: the trigger candle is the fine print of your entry. It separates "the breakout worked" from "the hammer at support worked," so you learn the one signal worth waiting for.

🎯 Entry types

Mark how you got in: on-plan (retest, bounce, breakout) or, honestly, off-plan (FOMO, revenge, gambling, "not-bro").

Why it matters: this is your discipline mirror. Tagging the off-plan entries is what makes the Don't list real: you finally measure, in dollars, what your worst impulses cost you.

Every tag renders as a compact chip on the trade row (icon in the list, full label when you open a trade) and on your public profile, so your journal reads at a glance. And all three feed one place.

It scores your real edge (win rate, P&L and sample size for every setup) and splits it into Do (trade these) and Don't (avoid these).
